The leaves are off the trees and winter housing is being implemented for our critters. Most years, I start getting antsy about the impending winter season to come- however this year, I’m having all of the feelings about welcoming the cozy. What is cozy to you? For me it looks and feels like blankets, warm socks, and a book (or sappy-holiday-romantic-comedy movie).

Soup. The smells of spices in the diffuser and comforting baked food.

The gentleness of glowing lights amongst the short days.

There is a part of me that is welcoming the quiet and internal rest that the months ahead bring. There is also a confident part of me that is feeling good about enjoying the holidays and choosing what feels good and letting go of what isn’t in alignment.

The cozy season ahead feels nurturing in ways my body, mind and spirit and for that I am grateful.

The darkness giving us permission to slow down.

The darkness giving us permission to feel an internal slumber.

The darkness giving us permission to embrace the light within.

The darkness giving us permission to reflect on what we are most grateful for. Keep reading for some recipes and DIYS perfect for the cozy season!
